Aims
According to Taipei City Government's Plan for Medium-and Long-Term International Education, the NCUK International Foundation Year Program incorporates the spirits of inquiry and global competences in the curriculum.
Furthermore, this international program expands the depth and breadth of learning and enhances the students' conceptualizations of basic course materials. It also increases the IFY students' career choice certainty. Above all, it customizes module courses to meet different students' specific learning needs and talents.
The Advantages of the IFY Programese
These modules in the NCUK IFY Program are conducted in English. 10th and 11th graders will be exchange students taking relevant courses in overseas sisters or partner schools during summer or winter vacation. English for Academic Purposes aims to improve students' academic English levels and provides an acceptable English language qualification for entry to a UK university without the expense of an IELTS or TOEFL test. Students who successfully complete an NCUK qualification and actively engage with NCUK's University Admissions and Placement Service gain a guaranteed place at an NCUK University.

Students are expected to advance their English proficiency, attend relevant courses at
overseas sister schools, acquire an NCUK university entrance qualification, which is comparable to UK A-Levels, and gain guaranteed access to thousands of degree courses at NCUK universities if they successfully complete the IFY.
