JDP Teachers Workshop: Classroom Observation, Professional Discourse, Pedagogical Training, Advanced Placement Continuing Professional Development, and Resource Sharing

Below are the tasks in the JDP Teacher’s Workshop.

 

1.      Work with New Teachers: This involves the process of onboarding and training new teachers on the Fairmont curriculum, ensuring they are prepared for quarterly assessments, and clarifying the observation approach for evaluating their performance in the classroom.

2.      Collect and Share AP Scores: This task involves the collection and dissemination of Advanced Placement (AP) exam scores among relevant stakeholders within the school community.

3.      Observe Teachers and Share Results: Here, the administrator's role is to conduct classroom observations of teachers and communicate the results and findings to the school's administration.

4.      Work with School Leadership on Enrollment Data: Collaborating with school leadership to gather and manage student registration and enrollment data, which is crucial for school planning and resource allocation.

5.      Quarterly Assessments: Coordinating and managing the process of conducting quarterly assessments, which are integral to evaluating student and teacher performance.

6.      Begin Graduation Checks: Initiating the process of checking the graduation requirements and progress for Grade 12 (G12) students to ensure they are on track to graduate.

7.      Work on Early Action/Early Decision Applications: Collaborating with counselors and head teachers to support students in their Early Action and Early Decision college applications, providing guidance and assistance throughout the application process.
