Teaching Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Collaboration with Swedish Vasaskolan III

ZZSH and Sweden's Vasaskolan High School have been collaborating to offer a series of courses focused on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The third course in this series, organized by ZZSH teacher Mr. Reacher Lee, focused on SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy. This course explored the application of renewable energy, such as solar energy, wind power, and hydropower, and its close connection to climate change. While 68% of Sweden's energy comes from renewable sources, only 6% of Taiwan's energy is generated in this way. The production of greenhouse gases resulting from energy consumption not only causes climate warming but also leads to negative impacts like extreme weather. Therefore, it is crucial to develop energy strategies to combat climate change and its effects.

Following the lecture, Mr. Lee posed six questions for the students to discuss in groups of sixteen during an online session. Students from Sweden and Taiwan shared their thoughts on Padlet and prepared for an upcoming online forum on May 5th.
