The 4th International Summit of ZZSH was a hybrid event, both online and offline, where Swedish landscape expert John Block led a series of courses. Over 130 students from Taiwan, Germany, France, Japan, the Philippines, and Sweden participated in this event, which focused on discussing the value and practice of ecological service systems under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event aimed to enhance international understanding and cultivate international talents, which is an important trend in talent cultivation. Teachers' professional workshops were conducted to improve their ability to integrate curriculum materials and design teaching plans. Students participated in a variety of courses, including campus landscape renovation and art class design sketches.
The summit started with expert lectures, and students from different countries reported in English what they learned related to “ecology". The topics of reports include national policies, campus issues, and living ecological strategies. Students then responded to their learning with emotional maps after participating in the campus gardening design workshop.
The event not only promoted international education and cross-cultural exchanges, but also explored the development model of environmental education. Through John Block's speech and demonstration practice, students can experience how to practice the value of the ecological service system in life and become practitioners of urban sustainability.
