Teaching Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Collaboration with Swedish Vasaskolan

ZZSH and Sweden's Vasaskolan High School have been conducting a series of collaborative courses for SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). The central theme of the first class is SDGs 3: Good health and well-being, organized by the Swedish teacher Mr. Peter Perskull and the Taiwanese teacher Joe. He led the two schools’ students to understand major issues: overcoming infectious diseases, reducing the mortality rate of non-communicable diseases, and promoting mental health.

Then, Joe (TZZ) led everyone to think about what social design is and allowed the students to speak up and consider the following social design steps: analyzing problems, thinking about needs of others, using creativity to formulate solutions, and delivering a following draft. In the online class, the students from Sweden and Taiwan shared their thoughts and opinions in real time through microphones or typing. Everyone very much looked forward to learning more about the issues and designing possible actions to promote human well-being.
